Cool Computer Monitors and Why We’re Suddenly Thinking About Them

In the entertainment industry we are starting to realize that the party (or lack thereof) is about to be over.  In other words, any day now it is going to be life back on the road OR a new reality of broadcasting from home.  Or a combination of both, depending on what end of the spectrum and where on the continuum the roll of the “new crazy dice” lands you.

That being said, laptops aren’t going to cut it.  Nor are ipads/tablets  – and certainly not phone screens. I don’t care how awesome they’re advertising new iphones and galaxies and what not to be, we’re not going to be able to easily and effectively do our thing without attaching such devices to an external monitor.  And that monitor is going to have to be awesome. So here I’m going to take a look at some of the computer monitors available from RAKUTEN  – listing my favorites.

Those that have seen me work know I’m an ASUS guy. Recorded the last album  and the new single out of the studio and 100% on a ROG!

So my first recommendation for when you’re ready to get back into the swing of things is  the ASUS Zen Screen.  Why? Because it is portable! Perfect for being back on the road.

I mean DUDE! Right? Only needs a single usb connection and instantly doubles my screen real estate.

For being at home, the Samsung QLED Curved is Great.

Ultra Wide screen and 4k.  It is a TOTAL Badass!

Now if you don’t need the bells and whistles of something curved, I dig the LG IPS 4k

Sure, it’s a gaming monitor and might be overkill for most of what you want to do but hey (cue Tim Allen) “More power!”
