Once again, we’re at it to figure out the holy grail of eye creams and why there are so many options yet so few that actually work. Eye health is a bit of a medical mystery when it comes to beauty regimes. We did a one day test on some interesting contenders and TWO CAME OUT AHEAD. What two eye cream brands stood out? Let’s find out!
These eye creams were assessed by the following criteria:
- Ease of use (how greasy is it, how hard are the instructions, how often do you have to use it etc.).
- Subjective impression (do we as the users, feel like it is working when both looking in the mirror and how it feels).
- Effectiveness to others (similar to #2, but a 3rd party opinion of if it works or not).
HOUSE 99
David Beckham has an eye cream?? When I first got this tube of eye cream, my first thought was “Isn’t this dude a soccer player?” Turns out he’s got a whole line of products. And really, is it any more unusual that a rock star having a hot sauce line 😉 ? But let’s take a look at this eye cream!
While I’m not a fan of dimethicone and other such ingredients, I do have to say it feels pretty good on the skin. The other challenge is you have to snip the tube in order to start using it, can’t just pull off the cap and use it out of the box. HOWEVER, the size of this tube is IDEAL for travel. It’s the perfect travel eye cream, it is thin and small and easily fits into those draconian quart size bag requirements for toiletries.
Purlisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Eye Adore Serum
The ingredients in this are stellar, far above the competition. There are still some scary sounding things (there has to be unfortunately if you want it to work) but for the most part it has all our favorite natural ingredients.
The 4-in-1 Eye Adore Serum feels pretty nice. I like the way it looks, it is debatable of others notice though. This one is kind of expensive, but if you’re up for treating yourself :
