So first off, in this article we’ll be testing out the CBD Oil products of one specific brand even though we’ll be talking about CBD Oil in general. But to preface, I just got turned on to this Sun God Medicinals brand – and I am honestly a bit excited because check out all the Anand-style good stuff they make: List of Sun God Products @ https://amzn.to/2UvqZEe
So long story short (I’m sure you’ve googled CBD Oil and got a bunch of chemistry class gibberish or over-hyped up blog posts with a ridiculously long list of “benefits” so let’s skip to the chase and tell it like it is) – CBD Oil is oil that comes from the Hemp plant, but not exactly the same thing as Marijuana people smoke to get high. Or even medicinal oil that has “high” effects. It’s different. It has nothing that would show up on a drug test, and it has a ton of antioxidants and good fats. Although people tout that CBD Oil is good for all sorts of stuff, its main intended use is for pain, sleep, inflammation, stress, and anxiety.
So this is why it makes for an interesting massage oil either post workout, during intimate moments, for people under stress or with insomnia, for arthritis etc.
We tried out two different oils, a muscle rub and something called a hypnos massage oil. Now, chamomile oil is said to do similar and I happen to have some from a recent trip to the Philippines where it’s used for everything from sore muscles to constipation. So we lined up and tried these out alongside the chamomile oil to see if there is a difference. (hint: there is, for starters the CBD products smell better and have more ingredients than just CBD Oil).
The Hypnos Massage Oil has stuff that I would normally add to a collection of essential oils like ylang ylang, lavender, and sandalwood. Just smelling the bottle instantly relaxes me. At first the feeling on the skin was no different than ylang ylang oil would feel on its own. But my muscles started to lighten up after a few minutes. May take as long as 15 according to the bottle. LOL, it has a “creep” – there’s a sentence I haven’t said since college.
The Muscle Rub (which is also a massage oil) is called the Hercules Massage Oil, and also has esential oils I would normally use – like basil. This one is noticeably more invigorating. Again, basil oil on its own would do this but you wouldn’t usually use basil straight, you’d cut it anyway with other stuff. The other stuff in this bottle are pretty great. I am looking forward to loaning this bottle out to someone who has arthritis/spasms.
